A Love Song by Gustaf Fröding

Translated to English.

Written in 1898.

I bought my love for money,
for me there was none else to get,
sing beautifully, in burred strings,
sing beautifully of love nonetheless.

That dream which never came true,
as a dream it was lovely to get,
for he, who is cursed out of Eden,
is Eden, an Eden nonetheless.
